Tatev Aslanyan
solo exhibition
Purple surfaces for dreaming bodies and merging souls.
The collection takes a microscopic gaze on sleep and its latent possibilities, observing parallels and subtle similarities between the artist and the surrounding environment. As the body dissolves into the surface on which it rests, the soul begins to wander. Moving between realities, roles, and experiences, from the depth of individual perception toward the unknown.
In times of constant distress, sleep becomes a necessity, a ritual, and at times the only remedy. Through forms and figures, the artist searches for spaces of rest and reflection, reconfiguring reality through a dreamlike lens.…Read more

Marcos Grigoryan_emotion
Marcos Grigorian's works, created in the 1990s during his stay with the Balasanyan family, express emotions derived from immediate inspiration. These sketches carry a blend of realities and emotions, with combinations of colors that reflect the artist's inner simultaneous freedom and spontaneity. The displayed works not only narrate the themes of time and space but also open up unique and profound worlds for the viewer, evoking emotions born from the everyday interactions of life. “Wild Children” 30th Annual Festival of Alternative Art OPEN Meeting The 2008 crisis has not yet come to an end. During the great recession, it became clear that the neoliberal model does not work well anywhere in the world. For each of us, the link between economic problems and neoliberal policy became clearer given that the crisis was already to do with capitalism. “Democracy” - which had started to be built after independence - was experiencing a crisis. It was formed in full and at the same time, it failed with the 1998 coup. In Armenia, the dilemma was…Read more

Mold
An exhibition by Mariam Aleksanyan Curated empathy is a human instinct. Caring is, too. In natural selection, every creature adapts to natural conditions in order to survive and endure. Humans manifest care so that they are selected and endure. What happens when care, love, and compassion cease to exist? Everything becomes covered in mold. Mold is alive; it grows in place of, and by feeding on, the life force of another living creature. Perhaps, with care and compassion, mold unites the broken pieces, filling the emptiness.
