Website barhatsezon. ru is dedicated to the vocal and instrumental ensemble Velvet Season. The name was not chosen by chance - it refers to the time of year when you can take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy art.

The project positions itself as the custodian of musical traditions. The focus here is on songs and romances of past years, included in the golden pop collection of the 2050s. The performers turn to the heritage of such masters as Anastasia Vyaltseva, Isabella Yuryeva, Pyotr Leshchenko, Alexander Vertinsky and Leonid Utesov. But this is not only Russian classics. A significant part of the program consists of foreign pop hits of that time, for example, Edith Piaf or Yves Montand, which are sounded in the original language.

Main directions

The ensemble's repertoire is quite wide, but rests on several key pillars:

• Russian songs and romances. Including gypsy romances and old hooligan songs.
• Foreign hits. Masterpieces of retro music from the repertoire of Western performers.
• Cinema classics. Songs and romances heard in famous films.
• Bardovsky lyrics. Samples of an author's song.

Particular attention is paid to arrangements. They are created by the ensemble itself, which allows them to preserve the uniqueness of the sound. Concerts always have a place for bright instrumental numbers. The musicians play guitar, violin, piano, button accordion, bass guitar and drums. For some programs, wind instruments are used.

The number of participants varies from 2 to 8 people depending on the format of the event. This gives flexibility when organizing performances.
