About the project
CarPrice is a federal online used car auction and repurchase network. The project positions itself as a platform where more than 300 used lots are available daily, which are often not available on regular ad sites. The main idea of the service is to give the opportunity to buy cars from other cities without leaving home.
During its operation, the company has already purchased more than 250 thousand cars. Now 150+ salons throughout Russia are involved in the work, and about 300 active auctions take place every day. The geographic presence covers 60 cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Krasnodar and other large centers.
Main directions
The platform works for two categories of users at once: resellers and dealers. For them, the purchasing process is structured to minimize risks and simplify the transaction.
- Technical inspection. Each car undergoes a detailed check on 200+ parameters. The inspection is recorded with photos and videos. The body is checked with a thickness gauge (at least 5 points per part), the engine, transmission and chassis are assessed. Based on the results, a detailed report is issued.
- Legal purity. All current databases are checked. The car must not be pawned, used in taxis or car sharing, have registration restrictions or signs of participation in salvage car auctions.
- Logistics. After winning the bid, CarPrice will arrange delivery of the car to the buyer's address or the client can pick it up himself.
Features of the site
The trading mechanics differ from classic advertisements. The auction lasts 20 minutes, but if a bid is made 30 seconds before the end, the time is extended by another minute. The bet is the actual cost of the transaction and cannot be refused. To exclude price gouging and the participation of bots, a deposit is required. This is a one-time fee that can be returned, but it is written off in case of fraud or unjustified refusal of the ransom.
The site contains cards with a huge amount of details. For example, for the 2014 Nissan Almera III, not only the mileage (150,050 km) and the type of title are indicated, but also the condition of each part: chips on the wings, corrosion on the seat mounts, the color of the engine oil and even the operation of the air conditioner. There is a video of inspection and test drive, 360 panoramic view.
The purchase process consists of three steps: authorization in your personal account, making a deposit and paying for a subscription, and participating in the auction. The manager helps you understand the process, and using the Business tariff you can build a procurement strategy.
