Website events. spbu. ru is the official calendar of events of St. Petersburg State University. The resource aggregates information about conferences, lectures, exhibitions and concerts that take place within the university. Here you can find both current events and an archive of past ones, as well as information on how to organize your own event.
The main goal of the portal is to inform students, staff and external partners about the scientific and cultural life of the university. The content is strictly structured by dates and types of events, which allows you to quickly navigate the schedule months in advance.
Main directions
On the website, events are divided into three key categories, each of which has its own rules for organizing and submitting applications:
- Scientific events. These are conferences, congresses, symposia and seminars. Large scientific forums (for example, the IX Russian Philosophical Congress or the International Congress Osteopathy Open 2026) require strict competitive selection. Applications for them must be submitted in advance: before June 5 for the first half of the next year and until September 17 for the second. Small formats like round tables are easier to arrange, but also through an official application within 10 working days.
- Image events. This includes exhibitions, meetings with speakers, ceremonies and concerts. They can be independent or part of a parallel program. To conduct them, you need to send a memo (for employees) or a letter with a technical application (for external initiators) at least 15 days before the start.
- Participation in forums. SPbU helps integrate its speakers into the business program of major Russian forums. You can apply for participation no later than four months before the start of the forum.
Particular attention is paid to security: all external participants are admitted only with a passport and preliminary collection of passport data. Students and employees enter using personal identification cards.
Features of the site

How to apply for a conference?
Major scientific events are accepted only after passing a competitive selection. Applications must be submitted by June 5 (for the first half of the next year) or September 17 (for the second). If preparation requires more than a year, the timing may be revised.
Is it possible to hold an event without an order from the vice-rector?
For small scientific events (lectures, seminars) an order is not issued. For large conferences and congresses, inclusion in the plan and publication of an order is mandatory. Without this, the initiator cannot count on involving the organizer in preparation.
What documents are needed for admission to external participants?
All external guests must provide passport information in advance to enter the university premises. On the day of the event, you must present your original passport at the security post. Students and staff check in using their identification cards.
