About the project

The website library.wmo.int is the electronic library of the World Meteorological Organization. The home page serves as a central hub for accessing documents governing weather services around the world. Here are collected materials that form the basis of international meteorological activities.

Main directions

The content of the library is structured strictly according to the hierarchy of documents. The Governance section contains basic documents, including Basic Documents No. 1. Special attention is paid to technical regulations (Technical Regulations or TRs). These are not just general recommendations, but strict standards to which manuals with applications are attached.

• Collections - collections of materials on key topics.
• Session Reports - reports on meetings.
• World Meteorological Congressand Executive Council - protocols of supreme governing bodies.
• Regional Associationsand Technical Commissions - documents of regional and technical divisions, including an archive of former commissions.

Climate issues are separately highlighted through the Intergovernmental Board on Climate Services and scientific research within the Research Board. Scientific Reports represent the final scientific works of the organization.

Features of the site

The library interface is focused on quickly finding the desired document. Full text function with Exact match option available. This is important for specialists working with specific regulations.

The site supports multilingualism. Users can switch the interface and content between six languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. There is an option to select any language or filter by selected options.
