How to get to Murom
The most convenient way to get to Murom from Moscow is by train. Direct trains from Moscow to Murom take 4–5 hours. Trains from Nizhny Novgorod (the airport closest to Murom) are rare. An alternative is a bus, which will take you 2.5–3 hours. A route through Vladimir is also possible: the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod high-speed train stops in Vladimir, from where you can get to Murom by bus in 2.5 hours.
