Website rusacademfilately. ru is an information resource of the National Academy of Philately (NAF) of Russia. This is a public organization created to unite professional collectors and develop philately as a discipline. The Academy was officially registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on November 30, 2006, although the presentation to the Russian public took place in July of the same year.
The project positions itself as a coordinator of scientific research in the field of postal history, art history and philatelic business infrastructure. The organization has two regional branches - Moscow and St. Petersburg. The management is carried out by President Andrey Strygin, as well as heads of departments Dmitry Dubovik and Valery Zagorsky.
The activities of the NAF are strictly regulated by the Charter and cover several key areas:
An important element of the job is the reward system. The highest public award of the NAF is the Faberge Medal, established in memory of two famous philatelists. It was celebrated by the Prince of Monaco Albert Grimaldi, Chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov and UNESCO Director General Koichiro Matsuura.
The content of the resource is structured around the activities of the organization and archival materials. The website contains a detailed section All about the Academy, which describes the mission, structure and membership (full members, honorary members, foreign members).Special attention is paid to the history of the organization: from the creation of the French Academy more than 80 years ago to modern activities in Europe and Russia.
The section with announcements and news, as well as selections of the best stamp issues by year, is of interest. Here you can find information about thematic series dedicated to Dostoevsky, the Crimean Bridge, the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the patriarchate and other historical events. The site also contains links to regulations and catalogs of exhibits of major exhibitions, such as Rossica-2022 and Rossica-2016.
