Website rusacademfilately. ru is an information resource of the National Academy of Philately (NAF) of Russia. This is a public organization created to unite professional collectors and develop philately as a discipline. The Academy was officially registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on November 30, 2006, although the presentation to the Russian public took place in July of the same year.
The project positions itself as a coordinator of scientific research in the field of postal history, art history and philatelic business infrastructure. The organization has two regional branches - Moscow and St. Petersburg. The management is carried out by President Andrey Strygin, as well as heads of departments Dmitry Dubovik and Valery Zagorsky.

- Scientific research and publications. The Academy conducts independent examinations of philatelic materials and publishes the results of its research. The official publication is the magazine World of Stamps and Coins (previously published under the name World of Stamps), which is published under the patronage of the National Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.
- Organization of exhibitions. Since 2006, NAF has been actively involved in major events. Among them are the first All-Russian exhibition in the Federation Council (2007), an international exhibition at UNESCO headquarters in Paris (2008) and plans to hold the first international academic exhibition in Moscow by 2013.
- International cooperation. The Academy closely cooperates with the European Academy of Philately, the Russian Peace Foundation and other structures. In February 2008, a protocol on cooperation with the Russian Philatelists Union (SFR) was signed.
- Project Moscow International House of Brands. Since 2009, NAF, together with the architectural studio of Sergei Tkachenko, has been promoting the project of building a specialized center for collectors.
An important element of the job is the reward system. The highest public award of the NAF is the Faberge Medal, established in memory of two famous philatelists. It was celebrated by the Prince of Monaco Albert Grimaldi, Chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov and UNESCO Director General Koichiro Matsuura.
