Lyceum Olympiad camps are organized especially for strong students - LOS (b), meta-subject Olympiad Stages, oral geometry. This is not just a competition, it is an opportunity to show yourself, gain experience and, perhaps, get into a team at the All-Russian level. And yes, such events happen regularly - as part of life, and not a rare event.
Interestingly, the site talks about the open conference Science with a Thousand Faces. Sounds nice, right?
