About the project
Slonsochi website. ru is an information resource about a unique place for Russia - the elephant park in Sochi. This is not just a tourist spot, but a family project of the Honored Artist Andrei Dementyev-Kornilov, implemented with the support of the Russian State Circus Company. The main feature of the location is that it is the only park in the country where Indian elephants live in conditions as close as possible to wild nature.
Giants of land arrive here every year from the tropics for a summer vacation. The subtropical climate of the Adler region allows them to walk freely, observing life in the natural environment. However, it is worth keeping in mind: the current operating season of the park is closed until 2026. The project is positioned as a place where you no longer need to fly to Thailand to meet these animals.
Main directions
On an area of 27 hectares in the mountain cluster of the resort city, several key elements are concentrated that form a unique visiting experience:
- Animals. The park is home to three Indian elephants - Pretty, Margot and Audrey. They are the only ones in Russia who roam freely in the wild. In addition, spotted deer, goats, peacocks, guinea fowl and the raccoon Valera, who is called the laziest in the world, live on the site.
- Horses. The exhibition includes the Akhal-Teke horse breed. Their second name is Heavenly Argamak. This is the first cultivated breed in history to hang four legs in the air for microseconds when trotting.
- Infrastructure. Visitors can take advantage of the cafe with views of the mountains and the sea. It is noteworthy that elephants often approach guests and can take away food, so visitors are advised to hold their burgers tightly.
- Nature. Recreation areas are located right in the thicket of the forest. The area includes open fields and a pond where the elephants go for a swim. There are no artificial conditions here - only wild nature, sun or rain.
