About the project

Universarium is an online education platform that brings together courses from leading Russian universities. The project positions itself as a place where you can learn from the best teachers in the country. The site presents programs from 45 universities, including such well-known names as Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov, REU im. G. V. Plekhanov, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, MSTU im. N. E. Bauman and MIPT.

The platform operates under the management of Education Quality Assessment LLC. The company owns the registered trademarks Universarium and the Trajectory program, the rights to which were officially registered in 2020. The project has existed since 2013.

Main directions

The site offers access to a catalog of courses, divided into thematic blocks. Users can select the discipline they are interested in through the search bar or navigation. The main emphasis is on independent study of materials with the support of methodological recommendations.

Training is built around several key components:

• Video lectures. This is the main format for presenting material. Each lecture is divided into semantic blocks lasting up to 20 minutes for ease of comprehension. The video is accompanied by multimedia materials and contains literature recommendations.
• Presentations and notes. Text material is supplemented with illustrations, definitions and links to external sources. Presentations include animations, graphs and tables organized into a single environment.
• Homework. Includes essays, problems and tests. The verification depends on the type of work: for the humanities, a multi-mode is often used (with the participation of an examiner), and for the exact sciences, an automatic system mode is often used.
• Practical work. Laboratory work is based exclusively on open access programs and materials. The listener receives complete information on their use.

Site Features

The platform requires JavaScript to be enabled for correct operation. The interface allows registered users to take courses, complete assignments and receive certificates. For new users, it is possible to quickly register through the Start learning button.

Combined assessment system. Testing is carried out automatically where possible (most often in the non-humanities). Essays and complex assignments require manual checking or the use of specific multi-mode tools.

An important element is the motivational block: the module materials are structured in such a way as to encourage the student to continue studying the course after watching the lecture.
